## Services and prices (EGP)

- Feature unlocks (تفعيل مزايا): EGP 500 (provisional). Your car ships with features switched off at the factory that coding can turn on without changing any parts. In one flat-price session we enable the ones you choose from what your car supports, such as a digital speed readout in the cluster, needle sweep on start-up, mirrors that fold when you lock, windows that open and close from the key, and turning off the seatbelt chime. What’s available depends on each car’s equipment.
- Retrofit coding (تكويد ريتروفيت): EGP 500 to 1,000. If you’ve fitted a part your car didn’t come with, such as LED tail lights, a screen, parking sensors or xenon headlights, it needs coding to work properly and without a warning light in the cluster. Prices run from EGP 500 to EGP 1,000 depending on the part, with an EGP 300 deposit, and we confirm the final price on WhatsApp before the visit.
- Battery registration (تسجيل البطارية): EGP 500. BMWs adjust how they charge the battery based on its age and type. If a new battery isn’t registered, the car keeps charging it as if it were the old one, which shortens its life. Registration tells the car the battery is new, and if you’ve changed the type or capacity we code that too.
- Pre-purchase inspection (كشف قبل الشراء): EGP 700. Before you pay for a used car, we plug in and read the fault memory of every module, look for faults that were recently cleared, and compare the mileage stored in more than one module. You get a written report to negotiate with, or to walk away on.

- Travel is included in Sheikh Zayed, EGP 100 to Haram, EGP 150 to 6th of October, EGP 200 to Mohandessin and Heliopolis, and EGP 220 to Nasr City, Maadi, New Cairo (Tagamo3), Madinaty and New Administrative Capital. Other areas: agreed on WhatsApp.
- All prices are in Egyptian pounds, and travel is charged once per visit. You pay a 50% deposit and the rest after the work, except retrofits, which take an EGP 300 deposit.

### What is BMW coding?
BMW coding, often searched in Egypt as takweed (تكويد), is changing the settings of your car’s electronic modules with a computer. It’s used to switch on features your car already has but ships with disabled, or to make the car recognise a newly fitted part such as a battery or lights.

### How much is a BMW pre-purchase inspection?
The pre-purchase inspection (kashf) costs EGP 700 plus travel, based on where the car is. Travel is included in Sheikh Zayed, EGP 100 to Haram, EGP 150 to 6th of October, EGP 200 to Mohandessin and Heliopolis, and EGP 220 to Nasr City, Maadi, New Cairo (Tagamo3), Madinaty and New Administrative Capital. The written report comes to you on WhatsApp.

### How do you check if the mileage has been tampered with?
On E9x cars the mileage is stored in the instrument cluster (KOMBI) and in the key module (CAS). We read both and compare them. If they differ, that’s a clear sign of tampering. If they match, that’s a good sign but not a guarantee, which is why we read it alongside the rest of the inspection.

### Why does a BMW battery need registering after replacement?
BMWs charge the battery according to its age. Without registration, the car treats the new battery as the old one and charges it wrongly, which shortens its life. Battery registration costs EGP 500 plus travel.

### Do you do BMW diagnostics at home?
Yes. All the work is done where the car is: your home, your office, or the seller’s place if you’re buying used. There’s no workshop visit.

### Is coding safe for the car?
Coding changes settings that already exist in the car’s software, and any change can be reverted to factory settings. What matters is that it’s done with the right software by someone who understands the modules.

### How much is the deposit and how do I pay it?
The deposit is 50% of the service price and travel fee, paid on InstaPay when you book. For a retrofit the deposit is EGP 300, and the final price is agreed on WhatsApp depending on the part. The balance is paid on site after the work.

### Which areas do you cover?
Travel is included in Sheikh Zayed, EGP 100 to Haram, EGP 150 to 6th of October, EGP 200 to Mohandessin and Heliopolis, and EGP 220 to Nasr City, Maadi, New Cairo (Tagamo3), Madinaty and New Administrative Capital. If your area isn’t listed, message us on WhatsApp and we’ll agree the travel fee.
