What does a BMW E90 pre-purchase inspection cover?
A pre-purchase computer inspection on a BMW E9x reads the faults of every module, not just the engine, looks for recently cleared faults, compares the mileage in the cluster and the key module, and checks the battery and the stored service schedule. It costs EGP 700 plus travel and is done where the car is.
Why a computer inspection matters on a BMW
A BMW has more than 30 electronic modules. Generic scanners mostly read the engine, but many expensive E9x problems sit in the gearbox, the stability system (DSC), the airbags or the lighting. Dealer-level software such as ISTA and INPA reads all of them.
What we check
- Faults in every module: engine, gearbox, brakes, airbags, electrics and the rest.
- Signs that faults were cleared before the sale.
- The mileage in the cluster (KOMBI) against the key module (CAS).
- Battery condition and whether it is registered correctly.
- The service schedule stored in the car (CBS).
This is an electronic inspection. It does not measure paint thickness or put the car on a lift. For the full picture, pair it with a mechanical and body check by a technician you trust.

Price
EGP 700 plus travel. Travel is included in Sheikh Zayed, EGP 100 to Haram, EGP 150 to 6th of October, EGP 200 to Mohandessin and Heliopolis, and EGP 220 to Nasr City, Maadi, New Cairo (Tagamo3), Madinaty and New Administrative Capital. A 50% deposit, the rest after the inspection.
